Eucalyptus, though virtually everywhere along the coastal roads and highways, is not native to California. Part reforestation, part quickly-growing wind block, and part get rich quick scheme, the eucalyptus trees are here to stay. The lemon eucalyptus trees that shared their leaves with us grow on my sister's sustainable farm. The leaves were used to make infuse the oils used to make the soap. As a nod to the often chilly and foggy weather near the coast, we added a crisp peppermint fragrance to these luxurious and briney soap bars. With milk, maple syrup, calcium bentonite clay, collagen peptides, and Tussah silk for an amazingly rich, lotion-like, minty lather. Each bar features embeds in our signature coconut cream recipe. About 1-in-4 bars will feature a message in a bottle in the form of bottle-shaped soap.
